Some Questions Answered

Q. Are park homes caravans?
A. No, whilst park homes meet the legal definition of a caravan, they are built to a much higher specification, suitable for permanent residential occupancy, whereas caravans are not.

Q. Would I have to vacate the home for a few weeks in the winter?
A. No, our park has a full residential licence for these park homes. Not to be confused with other parks offering 10 or even 12 month holiday licence.

Q. Can I receive mail at the park?
A. Yes, it is your permanent address.

Q. Are we able to register on the electoral register?
A. Yes, you will be registered with the local authority just as you would be with any residential property and pay council tax directly to them.

Q. How long can I keep the home on the park, is there an age limit and what rights of tenure would I have?
A. Our park homes are covered under the Mobile Homes Act and the land is registered as a protected site. This means that under this agreement, you have an indefinite period of tenure. The home can remain on site indefinitely under the terms of the agreement.

Q. My house goes up in value over time, will a park home go up or down in value?
A. If your park home is on a protected site with full residential status and with the benefit of a Mobile Homes Act agreement, it is permanent and therefore its value will rise (or fall) in line with conventional bricks and mortar properties.

Q. How long will a park home last?
A. Park Homes are built to last. Given reasonable care and maintenance, your home should last a lifetime.

Q. I have a young family, could we buy a home on your park?
A. Sorry but no, these homes and community are for mature adults only.

Q. I have grandchildren, are they allowed to visit / stay?
A. Yes, grandchildren are permitted to stay with you at weekends and school holidays.

Q. Are the homes available to rent?
A. No, all homes must be privately owned and occupied.

Q. I may still need a small mortgage, is this a problem?
A. Not at all, we have specialist park home mortgage providers to assist.

Q. My home is for sale but I want to reserve a plot, is this possible?
A. Yes, plot reservations now being taken, ask about our refundable deposit scheme.
