6 Easter Events Near Leisure Parks in North Wales

It will soon be Easter, and what better time to start planning an amazing family adventure in North Wales. It’s doubtful you will find a better location to hunt for some Easter eggs than in places such as Llandudno, Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, Colwyn Bay, and other areas around Leisure Parks in North Wales near the coast. Here are our picks of the Easter events you can enjoy over the next month, all easily accessible from your holiday home at Whitehouse Leisure Park.

1. Ty Mawr Wybrnant, Betws-y-Coed, Conwy

Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March 2016
A National Trust event at the garden at Mawr Wybrnant where the children can search for hidden animals and try to win a chocolate prize. This event is taking place from 12.00 until 17.00. Booking is not required.

2. Bodnant Garden, Tal-y-Cafn, Colwyn Bay

Head Gardener’s Walk – Wednesday 23rd March 2016
Join this walk given by the Head Gardener to discover the development and history of the gardens at Bodnant. An insightful opportunity to see the day to day running of the gardens, to discover some hidden gems and you are also allowed into some newly developed areas not yet open to the general public. Booking is necessary.

3. Erddig, Wrexham

Buggy Walk Workout – Wed 16 March, Wed 23 March, Wed 30 March.
Meet like-minded people and get fit in the process, during these Buggy Walk Workout sessions on the beautiful Erddig estate and grounds. The programme is led by the Sports Development Team and they suggest you come along, take in the fresh air and get into shape. Booking is advisable. Start 13:30. End 14:30

4. Chirk Castle – Chrik, Wrexham

Glyndwr Student Art Exhibition – Saturday 27 Feb 2016 to Sunday 3 Apr 2016
Fifteen of the design students from Glyndwr Universities are sharing their interpretations of the landscape and surroundings of Chirk Castle, as a section of their Art and Design degree work courses. Exhibitions are installed in both the gardens and the exhibition rooms. Booking is not required.

5. Penrhyn Castle – Bangor, Gwynedd

Breeze Cycle Rides for Women – Sunday 20 Mar 2016
A sociable, easy paced cycle ride setting out from Penrhyn Castle, that will take in quiet roads and cycle tracks. Being led by a fully trained Breeze Cycle Champion rider, the circular ride will end at the Castle. Booking is essential to guarantee your place.

6. Ty-Mawr Wybrnant – Penmachno, Betws-y-Coed, Conwy

Fun Day – 50 things to do before you are eleven – Friday 1 Apr 2016
A chance to tick off things on your “50 things to do before you are 11” bucket list like making a home for a wild animal, playing pooh sticks and hunting for bugs. There is also the chance to look around the farmhouse, home to 16th century Bishop William Morgan. Booking is not required. Start 11:00. End 16:00. General Admission prices apply.
