In a fortnight we have another Bank Holiday, and some of the children are to enjoy a week’s break from school. The caravan holiday season at Whitehouse Leisure Park will be in full swing but you may be looking for alternative activities to the usual beach trips, shopping and visiting historical buildings that are in abundance in North Wales.

On your next Caravan family Holiday in North Wales, why not think about a visit to one of the many Art Galleries in the region, or take a trip down memory lane at The Home Front Experience in Llandudno? Here we will list some of the many activities and day trips you can make:

Amgueddfa Cregyn Glas Conwy Mussel Museum (Conwy)
History states that Conwy was an area famous for its pearl fishing. Visit this museum and learn all about the ancient trade and see musseling carried out using traditional methods.

Mmgueddfa Llandudno Museum (Llandudno)
Here you can find information on the history from ancient times to the present day.

Oriel Mostyn Gallery (Llandudno)
In the seaside town of Llandudo is the Mostyn Gallery of contemporary Welsh Art, with five exhibition spaces, hiding behind an impressive 1901 terracotta façade.

The Home Front Experience (Llandudno)
You can experience life during the Second World War at this indoor attraction. Take a trip down memory lane and experience the sights and sounds of civilian life from 1940s Britain.

In addition to these, you can keep the children involved in the Arts with a day’s activity making and painting ceramic pots at various locations in North Wales; at Blue Island Ceramics (Ceredigion) and at Tany Ddraig Paint A Pot Studio (Llanberis), guaranteed to be fun for the whole family.

For music lovers, the 2015 Gwyl Festival launches on 23rd June at OpTIC in St. Asaph.

Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod is more than a renowned choral musical festival – enjoy a celebration of dance, costume, music and culture from world nations.

This runs from 6 – 12 July. It is probably advisable to pre-book your tickets if you wish to see any of the live concerts including the famous Burt Bacharach and one of the great male vocalists, Rufus Wainwright, not to be missed.

This Wednesday, 14th May, Wales Celebrates hosts an International day, “The Life and Work of Dylan Thomas”, the famous Welsh poet.

There is something for everyone to enjoy on a family Caravan Holiday in North Wales, especially in the local area around Pensarn, within easy travelling distance of Whitehouse Leisure Park.
